These 4 books are SO amazing, they're seriously interchangeable for my FAVORITE read of this year. They're all very different, but one thing that connects them is that they all deal with mature/hard subjects. They're emotional reads and they will grip your heart. They all hit my all-time favorites list, but to elaborate a little further...
#1: Vain: I can hardly use words to accurately describe how beautiful and pure genius this book truly is, but I managed to write something about it in my review of it so please check it out. If you haven't read Vain yet, you seriously need to make it a priority to do so. The second I flipped to the last page, I flipped to the beginning and reread it. I'm not even joking. You will not forget this story.
#2: Pushing the Limits: Echo and Noah do not have easy lives by any means and after they enter each other's lives, they're lives get complicated, but at the same time, they start to straighten and make sense because what they have together...is absolutely beautiful. My full review...
#3: The Sea of Tranquility: Nastya doesn't speak to anyone for two years...until him. Practically every person Josh has ever cared for has died...and then she enters his life. This story is heart-wrenching, breath-taking, makes-you-want-to-savor-every-word beautiful. Full review TO COME.
#4: Hopeless: The emotions in this one are CRAZY! Colleen Hoover is an absolutely brilliant writer and if you love NA romance and haven't read this, you are truly missing out! You can see my old review HERE while I'm in the process of editing/re-reviewing it on my blog.
#5: The Covenant series: Maybe this is a smidge of cheating, but I read this series (4 novels, 2 novellas, and the last installment is still to come in November) throughout the last few months and it's so amazeballs that I couldn't pick just one as my favorite for this list--so I chose the whole series! The writing is fantastic, lots of dialogue if you are a dialogue lover, the characters are so lovable and funny, the romance is fabulous, and the Greek mythology and action is wonderful! I have reviewed Daimon, Half-Blood, Pure, and Deity so far. Elixir and Apollyon reviews will be up within the next two weeks. :)
#7: Running on Empty: So many wonderful components to it, but the thing I like most about this series is that the experiences are very realistic. My full review...
#8: Shatter Me: This was
#9: Callum & Harper: Such a guilty pleasure read for me! After falling in love with Fisher Amelie and her writing in Vain I had to check out her other books. My full review...
#10: Find Your in the Dark: I finished this last night so review is still to come, but I couldn't help but add it to this TTT list. The characters are lovable (except when you want to punch them) and it's funny (except when it's dark and sad...which it tends to be, especially towards the end). It's kind of a messed up read, the love is irrational and it leads to some not-so-good things, but I loved it all the same! I'm going to read the sequel soon, which seems like it won't be as dark of a read!!
Great top ten! Shatter Me is amazing:)

Yes, it really was! I was super pleased with this dystopian, since I'm so often disappointed with YA dystopian novels these days. Thank you for commenting! I commented on yours as well!
DeleteMy Life Next Door is one of my favourite books; I love that story. I'm about to read The Sea of Tranquility; I hope I enjoy it as much as you did.
ReplyDeleteDid you love TSoT??? :D Thanks for stopping by and commenting! <3
DeleteI haven't read Shatter Me yet but I hear so many amazing things about it so I should probably get to reading it soon! I also really want to read Pushing The Limits, I've seen so many great reviews for it as well! I'm glad that you enjoyed both of those. I hope I do too. And yay for My Life Next Door!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for stopping by my blog! :)
I jumped on the Shatter Me bandwagon when I thought everyone else had already read it too--very enjoyable! Let me know if you like those two books? :) And thank YOU for returning the favor <3
DeleteGreat picks! I have Vain and Shatter Me, I just have to get around to reading them! And Hopeless is one of my all time favorite books, it was actually the last book I read in 2012 so it just missed my TTT list ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog!
You will LOVE LOVE LOVE Vain! Move that baby up up up to the top of your TBR list, Maggie! ;)
DeleteYou're the second blogger whose list I've read nothing from. Go you guys. My TTT: http://wp.me/p1D93k-W5. Happy reading, yo.

Yay!! So you are on your way (eventually) to reading them! You should, if I may be so bold to say, try to read them this year! I'm not exaggerating how wonderful they are. And I think I'm a little hard to please with books, haha ;) Thank you for commenting! I commented and subscribed to yours!
DeletePushing the Limits was, indeed, beautiful. And I'm still reading Apollyon, but I'm LOVING Jennifer's books. I'll be trying the Lux series soon.
ReplyDeleteLife Next Door is in my list of books I have to read next month for my Random Reads.
I really like JLA :) MLND is a wonderful summer read--I hope you liked it! Thank you for checking out my blog!
DeleteHappy to see My Life Next Door on your list! It was one of my top favorites read last year. I loved it so much!
ReplyDeleteYay!! I feel like it's kind of underrated right now, so I'm happy to see others liking it too!!
DeleteThe Covenant Series sounds amazballs, I love Greek mythology. Also Pushing The Limits is so popular I'm beginning to think I'm missing out. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteIt really is! Although, I've always thought it was very similar to Vampire Academy, just in greek mytho form, and I recently heard that JLA based Covenant off of that series. :/ I don't know how I feel about that... Definitely push Pushing the Limits up up up you TBR list! :) haha, Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteI haven't read any of these books, but I have heard great things about many of them. I really want to read Shatter Me and the Covenant series! Great list!
